How to Verify Your Domain in Facebook Business Manager – Easy Facebook Domain Verification Steps
In December 2017, Facebook changed its rules about modifying link previews in an effort to stop the spread of false information on their platform. With these modifications, when posting the link to their own Facebook page, only the owner of a verified website can make changes to the thumbnail image, article title, and link description. Now, when a link is shared to a Facebook page, Facebebook authorizedirst verify that the link originates from a verified domain before determining if the Facebook page is authorised to alter link previews for that page.

What is Domain Verification?
Facebook must be informed that you are the website’s owner through the domain verification process. You will upload some code to your website during the process, which Facebook will look for in order to verify it on their end. You can link your Facebook page to your verified domain after it has been verified so that Facebook is aware that the page is authorised to update link previews from that website.
Who is Domain Verification for?
Anyone with a website who wants to manage how their link previews appear when they publish to Facebook should use Domain Verification. When sharing links from your own website, you won’t be able to update the title or link description without Domain Verification, and you won’t be able to change the thumbnail image either. To configure Domain Verification for your website, follow the instructions below. Considering that this is not the quickest or simplest method, we advise getting a coffee.
Setting up Domain Verification-
Adding your domain to Facebook Business Manager is the first step.
the Facebook Business Manager window (sometimes shown as Meta Business Suite).
On the Business Settings tab, click.
Select Domains by clicking Brand Safety in the left side column.

Verifying your domain in Step 2
There are two ways to verify your Facebook page: HTML file upload and DNS verification, both of which are explained below.
Verifying your domain in Step 2
There are two ways to verify your Facebook page: HTML file upload and DNS verification, both of which are explained below.
Verification of DNS
You must upload a.txt file to your webhost if you opt for this technique.
The TXT record needs to be first downloaded from Facebook Business Manager. By selecting the DNS Verification tab, you can achieve this.
Go to the DNS records area after logging into your domain provider’s account.
Your DNS record should now include the TXT entry that you downloaded from Facebook. Please be aware that some domain hosts could demand that you include @ in the host column. You may find instructions for doing this for a few popular DNS providers below.
GoDaddy \sHover \sBlueHost
Click the Verify button for the chosen domain at the bottom of Facebook’s DNS Verification tab once the modifications have spread to all of your domain’s web servers. Normally, this transition happens within a few minutes, but in other circumstances, it could take up to 72 hours. Once this is finished, you’ll see that the status will say Verified (with a green dot).
HTML file upload
The alternative is to submit an HTML file to your website and use that to validate your domain.
Select the tab for HTML File Upload.
Get the HTML validation file.
Put this file in your website’s root directory. At the link provided in the HTML File Upload tab, you can see that it is uploading.
At the bottom of the page, just after the file has finished uploading, click the Verify button. Normally, this transition happens within a few minutes, but in other circumstances, it could take up to 72 hours. Once this is finished, you’ll see that the status will say Verified (with a green dot).
Share links from the same domain among many Business Manager accounts
You can designate the other Business Manager Accounts as “Partners” on your domain by doing the procedures below if you have another Business Manager Account that needs to distribute customised links from your domain.
Fb Business Manager should be opened.
After selecting Business Settings, click Domains.
Select the domain to which you want to add the Partner.
Select Assign Partner after selecting Partners.
From this point on, a pop-up will appear where you can enter the business ID of your partner.
You should be able to find your partner’s Partner name under Domains > Partners once you’ve linked with them using their Business ID.
The partner should be able to see your verified domain displayed under Business Settings > Domains in their Business Manager when they access it. Once the domain has been added to their account, they can assign any pages they control to it in order to alter how links from that website are displayed in link previews.
